Create as many temporary inboxes as you need for privacy, QA testing, newsletters, downloads, and permitted one-off signups. EduMails is a receive-only email tool; it does not verify student status or guarantee academic discounts. Services such as GitHub, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude may require current enrollment, identity checks, region rules, payment, or institution-managed access.
Azure for Students: Eligibility and Free Services
Azure for Students currently provides eligible full-time college students with $100 credit for 12 months, selected free service amounts, and signup without a credit card. It requires genuine academic verification.
Requirements
- Age 18 or older.
- Full-time enrollment at an accredited, degree-granting two- or four-year institution.
- Verification through the institution's email address.
- One non-transferable subscription per eligible person.
Important distinction
An EduMails address is a temporary receive-only inbox. It is not issued by a college and does not prove enrollment, so it should not be used to claim Azure for Students. Microsoft may request further documentation and can suspend accounts for false or repeated applications.
