TEMPORARY RECEIVE-ONLY INBOXES

Create as many temporary inboxes as you need for privacy, QA testing, newsletters, downloads, and permitted one-off signups. EduMails is a receive-only email tool; it does not verify student status or guarantee academic discounts. Services such as GitHub, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude may require current enrollment, identity checks, region rules, payment, or institution-managed access.

Student Email Benefits: What Actually Requires Enrollment

This legacy list contained offers that could no longer be verified. It stays online as a status note instead of presenting expired benefits as current.

A school-issued email can support verification, but an email suffix alone does not unlock student pricing. Use our maintained verified student discounts guide for current status and official claim links.

Which benefits genuinely require a school-issued email

The pattern across providers is consistent: an offer needs a real institution-issued address when the provider verifies enrollment through the school domain or a service such as SheerID — the GitHub Student Developer Pack, Azure for Students, and most campus software licences work this way. Offers that only ask for an email at sign-up, such as general free tiers of AI tools, do not check enrollment at all, so a student address adds nothing there. A temporary edu-style inbox from EduMails sits in neither camp: it is a privacy tool for sign-ups and testing, and it cannot establish enrollment with any provider. The guide to getting a legitimate student email covers the real routes if you are enrolled.
