Create as many temporary inboxes as you need for privacy, QA testing, newsletters, downloads, and permitted one-off signups. EduMails is a receive-only email tool; it does not verify student status or guarantee academic discounts. Services such as GitHub, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude may require current enrollment, identity checks, region rules, payment, or institution-managed access.
Can Temp Mail Send Email?
EduMails cannot send outbound email. It creates receive-only temporary inboxes. This keeps the product focused on privacy and reduces impersonation, spam, phishing, and mail-relay abuse.
What you can receive
Ordinary text or HTML messages, verification links, security codes, newsletters, and test notifications when the sender accepts the selected domain.
Why sending is unavailable
Anonymous outbound mail can be misused and creates deliverability, identity, reputation, and legal risks. Receive-only behavior also makes the product easier to understand.
Alternatives for outbound mail
Use a reputable permanent provider, an institution or employer account, or an authorized transactional-email service for application messages. Follow sender-verification and anti-spam rules.
